What to compare before you choose
- Who writes it. Some services write the story for you; some distribute the story you supply.
- A guaranteed number, a minimum or an average. These are three different promises. Ask what happens if the number is missed.
- What counts as a placement. A live page on a news site, a print outlet in a network and an impression are not the same thing.
- The report. Ask for a real report from a recent campaign and open the links yourself, or paste them into the placement report checker.
- How the story appears. Ask how it is labeled on the host sites.
